Let’s Play Hockey

Eleven-year-old Calvin Vachon and his Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ team have experienced a lot of success on the ice, including winning the California State Championship and being ranked 15th in the nation. Calvin is the grandson of NHL Hall of Famer Rogie Vachon, and like his grandfather, is a goaltender. However, it’s off the ice that the Jr. Kings have experienced their greatest success, led by Calvin.

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings have announced that registration is now open for their 2017 Spring Development Program - HockeyKinetix - which will commence on March 20, 2017 at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo.

Two former Los Angeles Jr. Kings - Kailer Yamamoto and Jack St. Ivany - were recognized by NHL Central Scouting on its final rankings of 2017 draft-eligibles, which were released today (April 11).

Yamamoto was tabbed No. 17 among North American skaters. Having recently completed his third season with the Western Hockey League’s Spokane Chiefs, the forward from Washington led the circuit’s Western Conference in scoring with 99 points, including 42 goals, in 65 regular-season games.

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ Squirt B2 team came out on top in its division at this year's California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) State Championships after its 4-3 overtime triumph over the California Wave in the title game, which was contested today (April 2) at Sharks Ice-San Jose.

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ Squirt B2 team celebrated the championship in its division at this year's Southern California Amateur Hockey Association (SCAHA) Playoffs after its 5-1 triumph over the California Wave in the title game, which was contested yesterday (March 25) at El Segundo’s Toyota Sports Center.
