Three Jr. Kings chosen in WHL Bantam Draft

Three players from the Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ 2014-15 Bantam AAA Major team - forwards Nick Castro and Jackson Wozniak and defenseman Noah Kim - were selected in this year’s Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft, which was conducted today (Thursday, May 7).

Castro was chosen in the fifth round (89th overall) by the Everett Silvertips, while Kim was picked in Round 10 (215th overall) by the Portland Winterhawks.

In the 11th round, the Kelowna Rockets selected Wozniak (241st overall).

One of the three Major Junior leagues that comprise the Canadian Hockey League, the WHL regularly produces professional players, including top NHL prospects.
