Pee Wee A3 team wins SCAHA title

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ Pee Wee A3 team celebrated a Southern California Amateur Hockey Association (SCAHA) championship today (Sunday) at El Segundo’s Toyota Sports Center.

With the victory, the squad earned the right to compete in the California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) state championships, which will be showcased from April 11-13 at Sharks-Ice San Jose.

The Pee Wee A3 team downed the California Golden Bears in their division’s finale, 9-3.

In the Squirt A bracket, Jr. Kings 2 fell to the Bears, 5-3, while the Jr. Kings’  Midget 18U A team dropped a 6-1 decision to the Pasadena Maple Leafs.

On Saturday, the Squirt BB3 team lost to the Ontario Jr. Reign, 5-2, in their division’s SCAHA championship game, while the Squirt B squad fell to the Channels Islands Riptide, 6-5, in its finale.

The Midget 18U A, Squirt A and Squirt BB teams also earned invites to the CAHA state championships in their divisions.
