The Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ Mite A1 team celebrated the championship in its division at this month’s Wildcats Hockey Club-hosted Presidents’ Day Open, which was contested at Anaheim’s KHS Ice Arena.

The Jr. Kings opened the tournament with a 14-7 win over Wildcats Hockey Club followed by a 13-5 triumph over Mission Arizona.

After an 11-7 loss to the Tri-Valley Blue Devils in the final round-robin game, the Jr. Kings exacted revenge over Tri-Valley in championship contest with a 13-5 victory.

“It was a great weekend for our team,” said Jr. Kings coach Armen Bubushyan. “The kids played strong, smart hockey and everyone contributed, which was most rewarding.”
