Jr. Kings take home top prize at Bauer World Hockey Invitational

The Jr. Kings took home the 2003 Elite Division Championship in this year’s Bauer World Hockey Invitational in Chicago, IL. In a thrilling final game, they were able to beat out Burnaby Winter Club (British Columbia) by the score 4-3.

Director of Youth Hockey Operations for the Jr. Kings, James Gasseau, had this to say about the tournament:

“We have been going to the Bauer invite for years now and we always appreciate this tournament as it runs smooth and the competition is always good.

We are blessed to have a good group of parents and players as it makes for a fun and pleasant experience when everyone is on the same page and understands the big picture in regards to their child's development both on and off the ice.

Winning the 2003 Elite Division Championship game today was a bonus to the experience. Our kids are not only learning the X'os of the game but more importantly how to be a good teammates as it will serve them well throughout their life. Winning today is also good for the continued growth of hockey in California.

Our team tournament MVP player was our defenseman Aidan Hreshuck who lead our team with strong discipline play and he demonstrated once again a great team player attitude“.

Teams representing 30 + states, 7 provinces and 8 countries came out and participated in another wonderful tournament. 422 boys teams and 120 girls teams poured their hearts out on the ice. All of them, no doubt, can’t wait to do it again next year.
