Jr. Kings show well over Thanksgiving Weekend

Los Angeles Jr. Kings teams were plenty busy participating in tournaments over Thanksgiving Weekend, with two clubs celebrating the championship in their respective divisions.

At the Jr. Kings-hosted Thanksgiving Extravaganza, which was showcased at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo and The Rinks-Lakewood Ice, the Jr. Kings’ Squirt A2 squad took home the top prize in its bracket after forging a 3-0-1 record, including a 3-2 triumph over British Columbia’s Burnaby Winter Club in the championship game.

In addition to the Squirt A2 team, three Jr. Kings clubs advanced to the title game at the Extravaganza: Bantam AA1, Pee Wee A3 and Squirt B.

At The Rinks-Lakewood Ice, the Jr. Kings’ Mite Track II squad went an impressive 9-1-1 in tournament play (13-1-1 overall) at its Fall Face-Off tournament to stake claim to the championship banner in its bracket.

The Jr. Kings bested the Fresno Jr. Monsters, 9-6, in the finale.
