Jr. Kings kick off fundraising campaign

Dear Los Angeles Jr. Kings Members,

In the past 36 months, the impact the Los Angeles Jr. Kings have had on the USA hockey landscape has been tremendous.  Our commitment towards our players and their families has yielded amazing results.

However, at a time when we are raising the bar of excellence locally and on the national stage, we are experiencing tremendous constraints.  Accordingly, this year, we’ve committed to pushing our fundraising efforts harder than ever.

This week, our program was presented an enormous opportunity.  A very gracious supporter of our club, has issued a challenge to our membership.  They have offered to match every dollar we raise until the end of the year.  As of this letter, we have raised $5,000.

We are asking for you to pledge your assistance through financial support and to spread the word to businesses, friends, families and others in their social and professional networks as it relates to this specific campaign.

This is very exciting time for the Jr. Kings.  Not only do we continue to push the bar of excellence higher throughout the state as the premier youth hockey program, but have also launched a few important initiatives we know will set our organization apart even further when it comes to fostering our players’ growth and success, on the ice, in the classroom and in the community.

With that said, we’ve set specific goals for this campaign and, with your assistance - whether financially or through your professional, social and family circles - plan to execute over the next year:

Education Center Build-Out: $30,000 Goal

Located in the back of Toyota Sports Center opposite the Olympic rink, the room’s blueprint will include study cubicles for our student-athletes, as well as an area for off-ice video and whiteboard sessions.

Alumni Wall Maintenance: $10,000 Goal

Located along the back wall opposite the Olympic rink at Toyota Sports Center, the wall highlights framed pictures of every player who’s come through the Jr. Kings program to advance to the professionaland NCAA Division I ranks.

Team Wall Maintenance: $10,000 Goal

Also located along the back wall opposite the Olympic rink at Toyota Sports Center, the wall showcases framed pictures of all of our current teams.

Financial Assistance Program: $200,000 Goal

The initiative was established to lower player dues at all levels, and our goal is to create an endowment where we can continue to provide the best possible youth hockey experience, and at the same time offer much more financial assistance to our current families and those who want and deserve to be a part of our club.

The commitment we’ve made towards building not only better hockey players, but more importantly socially-mature, community-minded young men and women, is the message we want to re-enforce to our entire Jr. Kings family and beyond.  We can’t thank you enough for the time, effort and passion you put forth towards making our club the very best in North America, and we’re committed to making it even better and significantly more affordable for our families thanks to your help.

If you, your business or anyone in your social or family networks are in a position to get behind what is truly an all-hands-in-the-middle effort when it comes to supporting our players’ athletic, academic and social development, I look forward to speaking with you.   The LA Jr Kings is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
