Jr. Kings to Aide Tornado Victims Through Red Cross

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings would like to send thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the tornado that swept through Oklahoma on Monday, May 20, 2013. The cities of Moore and Oklahoma City were struck by an EF5 tornado, destroying 12,000 homes and killing 24 people (10 of which were children). According to the National Weather Service, an EF5 is most powerful category of tornado and this tornado's peak wind maxed out at 210 mph. The tornado itself was 1.3 miles wide as it wrecked havoc on the innocent people and towns of Oklahoma.

In the coming weeks, the Jr. Kings will be holding tryouts for the 2013-2014 season and will donate $5.00 from every $30.00 tryout fee that is collected during the month of June to the Red Cross.

If you would like to donate to the Red Cross and aide those struck by this tragedy, please visit their disaster relief page.
