Grad Souto to compete in NAHL Top Prospects Tournament

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Cole Souto has been selected to compete in the upcoming North American Hockey League (NAHL) Top Prospects Tournament, which will be showcased on Feb. 14-15 in Plymouth, Mich.

A defenseman from Yorba Linda, the 1995-born has totaled a goal for seven points through 35 games in this his second full season with the NAHL’s Bismarck Bobcats. He also holds a plus-9 rating.

In short time, the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament has evolved into one of the most highly scouted showcases of its kind. Last season, over 200 scouts attended the event, which features almost every NHL team and NCAA Division I school. Over a third of the players who competed in last year’s tournament secured a NCAA Division I opportunity.

Only those NAHL players without an NCAA commitment at the time of selection are eligible to participate at the event, with the exception of those who’ll be playing on the NAHL Selects team, or those who’ve been identified as a player of interest by NHL Central Scouting.
