Former Jr. King debuts for Blues

Zac Pochiro

On Sunday night, former Jr. King Zac Pochiro made his NHL debut for the St. Louis Blues. Pochiro, who played for the Jr. Kings 16AAA team, was a +1 with 3 shots on goal in his debut. Zac’s former coach, Brandon Convery, had this to say about his accomplishment.

“Zac always had the skill and physical ability. I think from that year he really understood how he had to behave on and off the ice. Obviously with time, he has probably matured and hopefully he continues to develop on the ice and as a true professional off the ice.”

Zac was taken 112th overall in the 4th round of the 2013 draft. He is ranked 173rd among North American skaters and during the 2012-2013 season he played in 65 games, acquiring 15 goals and 24 assists with Prince George.
