Rob Blake

Rob Blake, winner of the 1998 James Norris Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman, played 20 NHL seasons from 1989 through 2010, setting LA Kings records for career games played, goals, assists and points by a defenseman.

Rob joined the Kings in 1989 and starred in Los Angeles until his trade to the Colorado Avalanche in the middle of the 2000-01 season, winning the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche later that season.
Selected 70th overall by the Kings in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, Rob currently serves as the NHL’s Hockey Operations Manager.
